A photo of an acquaintance from long ago - I found her in the music building practicing her French Horn. The light is what makes this image stand out for me.
The image also explores the theme of "connections" and "articulations" - how her fingers dance upon the keys, the mechanism of the keys cause the rotors (valves) of the horn to move, changing the sound of the horn, etc. In the end, this is about movement in and through light ( a promenade) - the essence of traditional photography. |
